The FastTrek UI
Main Window - FastTrek Docs
Overview of the FastTrek main window and its controls.
The main window is where you control FastTrek and monitor its status.
It is designed to be positioned either above or below the game window on your display, making it easy to keep an eye on both at the same time. You can make changes to FastTrek while tasks are in progress, and it will adapt accordingly.
The window is divided into 3 main sections:
- Left Sidebar
- Tabs (Start, Updates Available, Ships A-H)
- Ship/Collection Status area
You can resize the window by dragging its edges or corners. FastTrek will remember the size and position for next time.
Left Sidebar
Suspending FastTrek
Suspending FastTrek will pause all ship activities and collections. Screen detection will also shut down. This is basically the same as closing FastTrek without actually closing it.
When FastTrek is suspended, the ‘power’ button will turn red and “Suspended” will be shown in FastTrek’s window title. You can resume FastTrek at any time by clicking the same button again.
When you resume, all ships will be paused. You will need to manually resume each ship or use the ‘Resume All’ button.
Dark Mode
FastTrek supports both light and dark modes. It will adapt to your system preference by default, but you can override this by clicking the dark mode toggle button.
FastTrek will remember your preference for next time, but it isn’t currently possible to revert to automatic mode without directly editing FastTrek’s configuration manually.
Pause / Resume All
These buttons will pause or resume all ships currently managed by FastTrek. Paused ships will not perform any actions until resumed.
This is useful if you want to temporarily halt all ship activities, for example to make some changes or quickly type in the chat.
Recall Ships
This function allows you to recall multiple ships to base with a single action. Clicking the button will open a dialog where you can select which ships to recall:
Selective recall is useful if you want to bring back certain ships, for example after territory capture, before shutting down for the night, or to quickly repair all ships after suffering a raid or raid attempt.
For more information, please see Recall All Ships.
Notifications
The notification icon will light up and show a badge with the number of unread notifications. Clicking the button opens the notifications panel with more details.
Current notifications include:
- A new mission is available via the gift section
- Web Gift collection requires manual login
Right hand ship and scheduled tasks area
The right hand side of the main window is where FastTrek shows the status of automations and countdowns for any scheduled tasks, such as the various collections, shielding, or restarting the game.
Since only one automation can really be actively ‘playing’ at a time, it is perfectly normal to see other tasks ‘waiting for control’ much of the time.
As for scheduled tasks, you can use this for monitoring, but also to avoid actively playing while a collection is about to start, or alternatively to consider suspending FastTrek if you don’t wish to be interrupted.
