Saved Profiles - FastTrek Docs
Save and load your ship automation profiles for quick access.
FastTrek allows you to save your ship automation profiles for quick access and easy switching between different tasks.
When you have configured a ship automation to your liking, simply click the “Save” button () to save the current profile. You can give it a custom name to easily identify it later.
Saved information includes all settings:
- Automation type
- Target location(s)
- Resource type (mining)
- Recall conditions
- Hostile type/level filters (combat)
- Repeat options
- Follow-on tasks
You can load a saved profile by clicking the “Load” button () and selecting the desired profile from the list.
Managing Profiles
Profiles are always referenced by name and sorted in alphanumerical order. There are three options for removing a profile from the list:
- Click the “Open” button (), then the “Delete” button () next to the profile in the list.
- Save a new profile and select “Replace existing”, then select the profile you want to replace from the list.
- Save a new profile with the exact same name as an existing profile.
To rename a profile, save the profile with the new name, then delete the old profile.
Follow-on Tasks
Each automation can have a follow-on task configured, by selecting it from the “then switch to …” dropdown at the bottom of the automation settings. Each automation will run its entire course, including all repeats, recalling and repairing, and collecting dailies (if selected), before switching to the follow-on task.
As mentioned previously, follow-on tasks are saved as part of each profile.
This allows for the creation of routines, for example:
- Using a single ship to mine multiple materials or resources throughout the day.
- A ‘morning routine’ of hunting Freebooters, V’Ger, plus a Mirror Run, then passive grind the rest of the day.
Creating a mining cycle
For example, we’ll be mining 5* Crystal, Ore and Gas.
- Follow-on tasks can only be selected if they already exist. So first of all, we save the same thing (anything) three times using the names 5* Crystal, 5* Ore, and 5* Gas. These are just dummy tasks to make the names available for selection.
- Create a mining automation for Crystal, select “5* Ore” as the “then switch to” profile, and save it to replace the dummy “5* Crystal” profile.
- Create a mining automation for Ore, select “5* Gas” as the “then switch to” profile, and save it to replace the dummy “5* Ore” profile.
- Create a mining automation for Gas, select “5* Crystal” as the “then switch to” profile, and save it to replace the dummy “5* Gas” profile.
- Select any of these to start, and the ship will loop through all three materials.
