Preparing STFC - FastTrek Docs

Let’s configure Star Trek Fleet Command to make sure that FastTrek runs as smoothly as possible. FastTrek includes a setup wizard that can perform all of this for you automatically, but for the smoothest possible experience it can help to prepare these changes ahead of time. Doing so will save you time later.

So here are the 3-4 small changes you may need to manually make to the STFC configuration:

1. Set STFC to Windowed mode

For screen capture to work properly, STFC needs to be running in Windowed mode (not Fullscreen Window or Exclusive Fullscreen).

This is found in your Avatar:

1. Settings
2. Graphics Settings
3. Fullscreen

2. Enable Extended Zoom

This is found in your Avatar:

1. Settings
2. General Settings

3. Disable Mission Reminders on Login

We want this one to be off. FastTrek can restart your game regularly or if it gets stuck due to bugs. But it doesn’t deal with mission dialogue (yet), so this should be disabled.
