Automatic Reconnects - FastTrek Docs

What are Automatic Reconnects?
Automatic Reconnects is a feature that allows FastTrek to automatically reconnect to the game if you get logged out.
This ensures that FastTrek can continue to run and perform its tasks without interruption, even if the game logs you out for any reason.
Logout Situations
There are several situations where you might get logged out from the game, such as:
- Logging in from another device
- Network issues
- Random logouts and disconnections for no apparent reason (Scopely)
How FastTrek reacts to logouts
When the game logs you out, FastTrek detects this and will attempt to reconnect automatically.
However, there is no way to distinguish between different logout causes, so FastTrek will always try to reconnect, even if it is you logging in from another device.
The result is that if you log in from another device, you will be logged back out almost immediately.
Reconnect with incremental delay
To allow you to take over from another device when you really and legitimately need to, FastTrek implements a progressive incremental delay between reconnect attempts.
You can ‘signal’ FastTrek that you want to play by logging in again within 3 minutes. This will trigger an increase in the delay before the next reconnect attempt, giving you a window to take over without FastTrek immediately logging you out again.
The default timings are as follows:

| 3rd time | reconnect after 10 minutes |
| 4th time | reconnect after 30 minutes |
| 5th and subsequent times | reconnect after 60 minutes |
The delay resets back to the initial 5 seconds if FastTrek’s game remains connected for 3 minutes or more.
Customising Reconnect Timings
You can customise the reconnect timings in the settings, including the initial delay and the incremental delays.
Open Settings > Advanced > Automatic Reconnects to adjust the timings to your preference.
